MSc. in Construction Engineering and Management

Master the art of managing complex construction projects with a focus on sustainable development in Nepal. Learn modern project management Program Objective: Train professionals in construction project planning, technology, contract management, and research. Program Duration: Two years (maximum completion in six years). Credits: 44 credits from 11 courses and a 16-credit thesis. Core Courses: Advanced Project Management, Safety Engineering, Research Methodology, and Quality Management. Elective Courses: Includes Project Finance, HR Management, and Systems Engineering for Construction Management. Project Work and Thesis: Conducted in the fourth semester, worth 16 credits. Entry Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or Architecture with 16 years of study.

Advanced study in the design and analysis of civil structures. Focus on seismic resilience and traditional Nepali architectural integration with modern safety standards. Program Objective: Develop expertise in structural engineering with a focus on Buddhist structures like stupas, shrines, and monasteries. Program Duration: Two-year program. Credits: 60 credits with 7 core courses, 4 electives, project work, and a thesis. Core Courses: Advanced Structural Analysis, Seismic Design, Concrete Structures, Foundation Design, and Structural Dynamics. Elective Courses: Includes Trail Bridge Design, FEM Applications, Rock Mechanics, Disaster Management, and Buddhist Infrastructure Engineering. Project Work and Thesis: Focuses on Buddhist structures in the third and fourth semesters. Entry Requirements: Four-year BE in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
